Recently DCI Has Changed The Way Donors Get Paid By Assigning Donors With A Prepaid VISA Card From Citibank. There Is Not A Single Citibank In Town And Now Donors Have To Worry About Being Nickled And Dimed Whenver They Want To Purchase Something Or Visit An ATM. Donors Should Have The Right To Decide How They Get Paid Not The Plasma Center. We Choose To Have Our Arms Stuck Once Or Twice A Week Sometimes By People With Questionable Training So They Should Take The Risk Of Having Cash On-Hand At The Center. The Claim Of Citibank Prepaid Cards Being Easier Is Total Bs. I Know The Issue Of Surcharges Being Applied To Access Your OWN Money Is Nothing New, But To Us Long-Time Donors It Is Freakin’ Ridiculous. We Have The Right To Decline Being Issued These Crappy Cards. Give Us Cash.

I agree!!! I too go to DCI (San Marcos) and donate plasma. The fact that you HAVE to take the card to get paid is what pisses me off. Not only that, they choose one of the shitiest companies, that charge you 50 cents to use debit, 25 cents for credit, and ridiculous fees for ATM use. But it’s ok DCI has seen a steady decline in it’s donor stream, because ur already getting screwed on pay as it is and now with the addition of cards, many have quit going, because it is simply not worth it.
when you log into your account online it shows fee free atm’s on the website. when you go to the atm it STIL charges you the 1.50 fee. i called to complain about the issue and was told that it does NOT apply to the donor cards and will still get charged. When i asked why it was on the website but does not apply the question was ignored and i was asked if i could be helped with anything else. I repeated the question and was then hung up on. It is false advertisement for them to post it on the website but not follow through with it. I WILL be calling BBB about it.
Yeah i get this problem. its not so much the 50 cent charge or whatever. its the fact that they post extra money on my account and than they correct it by taking it away and than i have to pay the fee of .50 cents cuz it was like a transaction. so you know what that leads me to believe that their scamming people. because i havent donated fot like 3 weeks and they posted $25 to my account during the 3 weeks since i last donated and they took it back and i got charged a fee so really why would they make that mistake three weeks later why are they messing with MY account, you know what im saying. people what can we do about this. and this happens to me often so it adds up in the long run.
I predict that the recent change to citi cards by DCI will not last long. I was told by an employee ,wearing the black DCI uniform,”we pay more than any other plasma org. in the area. That means they are probably aware of the problems but do not care about the donors enough to give it any more thought. I imagine the move was more for the ease of records and book keeping for them. I’m quite sure the cards will have to at least be replaced with another more localized banking intitution that will have to be more reliable. The/my card has only been in my posession for a week and when I tried to draw cash the ATM’s at 7-11′s they repeatedly respond with “invalid transaction”. It is a load of crap and I mean a load of s—.Good-bye MISTER D MISTER C AND MISTER I. Call me when you have removed your heads from your asses and learn the true meaning of the word compromise. I agree csl in the past few years has turned into crap. They are a multi-billion dollar co, who only cares about there bottom dollar. NOT SAVEING LIVES. The staff is a joke, most would not be hired to clean toilets. Plus the company must be paying off the health dept. Most sewer plants are more sanitary. Csl doesnt have a clue on patient safety or just doesnt care. And now that their buisness has dropped, they just lower donation payouts and cut the staff hrs. So the company doesnt miss any of their bottom end dollar. PEOPLE JUST STOP GOING TO CSL, then and only when they have no donors will they start to get a clue.
